For many of us the economic downturn has brought added pressure at work and home. For me, the economic downturn has not produced any new issues in the training room. It has perhaps magnified issues that have always been there. Ally explores how we can make things better for our learners and not worse.
New Scientist magazine recently reported a study that concluded that:
… anxiety prompts the release of a chemical that bypasses conscious experience, automatically triggering similar feelings in anyone who sniffs it. This may allow fear to spread quickly and speed our ability to flee danger.
